Fusion Design Limited's Show House Merges Nature with Luxury

Located in Hong Kong, the Crown of St Barths is a unique property project designed as a second home for a privileged family. The design reflects an honest yet luxurious style, incorporating nature as a key element in an understated manner. The house provides a perfect escape from the city's hustle and bustle, offering a serene environment that mirrors the tranquil beauty of the renowned tropical paradise, St. Barths.

The house's design is a testament to the seamless integration of nature and luxury. A plush rug, reminiscent of cumulus clouds, serves as the main focal point of the living area, contrasting the luxurious marble floor and creating a rippling effect that extends into the dining area. This cohesive design feature harmonizes the downstairs space, replicating the constant flow of water and welcoming good energy throughout the house.

Every detail of the design accentuates an honest yet luxurious style, with nature subtly incorporated. The house features three floors, a foyer area, and a generous dining area next to the living room. Two sliding panels in the living room open up to a generous outer garden area, while stairs lead to the deluxe master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, and ensuite 2 and 3. Each space has its own style while maintaining cohesiveness with the overall design. The third floor, an open rooftop space, offers a magnificent view of the bay, allowing residents to enjoy the fresh sea air.

The project, which started in August 2018 and finished in June 2019, was inspired by the surrounding landscape's beauty. The design team incorporated the sea and sky's flow and amorphous form, along with the contrast between light and shadow, into different areas of the house, maintaining cohesiveness throughout. The final product is refreshing yet functional, aligning with the client's vision of a haven within a hectic city where they can relax and maintain an active social life.

The Crown of St Barths, which shares its name with the French Caribbean Island, offers an exemplary experience in laid-back luxury. The design, which was awarded Silver in A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2020, is a testament to Fusion Design Limited's outstanding expertise and innovation. The design not only pays homage to the original concept by including aquatic elements but also adds an understated sense of luxury to the house through the ingenious choice of elegant and timeless furniture pieces.
